TAPIWA RUTSITO

Integration & Systems Architect · Harare, UTC+2 · Remote or on-site

I connect the systems that move money, stock and tax data — and make them hold up under audit.

Five years designing and shipping enterprise integrations across SAP S/4HANA, core banking and national tax authorities, with hands-on depth in distributed .NET systems and AI-native engineering.

Delta Fiscalization System — certified by two national tax authorities

Every invoice had to reach the tax authority correctly and on time, or the business carried compliance and penalty risk. I took the system from inception and prototype through build, testing and launch, connecting SAP business transactions to Zimbabwe's FDMS and Zambia's VSDC smart-invoicing systems.

Result · Certified by ZIMRA and ZRA
Impact · 90%+ faster transaction processing

Design & delivery

Real-time SAP Finance to core-banking integration

Secure, real-time links between the SAP Finance module and FBC and Ecobank, so financial transactions flow and reconcile transparently at enterprise scale instead of through manual hand-offs.

Scope · Two core-banking platforms, real time

Feasibility, design & delivery

SAP to fleet and asset-management platforms

Led the technical feasibility assessment and delivery of an integration between the core SAP environment and third-party fleet and asset platforms, giving operations real-time visibility of deliveries.

Impact · 20%+ delivery processing efficiency

04 · INDEPENDENT · DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

A ~100-service distributed platform on .NET

Architecture for roughly a hundred microservices with Kafka messaging, Redis caching and session storage, and full observability through Prometheus and Grafana with custom .NET metrics.

.NET · Kafka · Redis · Docker Compose · Prometheus · Grafana

05 · INDEPENDENT · AI-NATIVE ENGINEERING

OpenOPC, containerised end to end

A complete Dockerised deployment of an AI-native orchestration platform running four agent CLIs — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Cursor Agent — with config seeding and full user documentation.

Docker · Docker Compose · Shell · Agent CLIs

Source code is private. I'm happy to walk through architecture and code in an interview.

Engineering decisions

Short records of the trade-offs behind my architecture choices — the reasoning matters as much as the result.

ADR-001 · MESSAGING

Kafka over RabbitMQ

Chosen for horizontal scale, fan-out, independent consumer groups and the ability to replay messages.

ADR-002 · CACHING

Vanilla Redis over Bitnami Redis

One upstream image covering caching, session storage and pub/sub, with fewer moving parts to maintain.

ADR-003 · OBSERVABILITY

Metrics from day one

Prometheus and Grafana in the base Compose stack, with custom .NET metrics via prometheus-net.AspNetCore.

Build log

● Updated as I work
  1. Launched this portfolio with an automated publishing pipeline driven by Claude Code.
  2. Containerised OpenOPC end to end with four agent CLIs and wrote the deployment guide.
  3. Added Prometheus and Grafana observability with custom .NET metrics to the distributed platform.
